Thanks for the replies so far; fettling has sorted out a couple of things...... the fuel guage was earthing on the dash; once isolated it read accurately. The water temp guage [U]needed[U] isolating and now reads to the top end of the scale. Whilst the Kenlowe kicks in (and i know the temp)...

The guages both came from the same vehicle (which is always a good start) - both from a late '90s, 200 TDi .... thanks, Dave.
