The problem I had is that the local garages in my town didn’t really know where to start with it. They all recommended Land Rover main dealer as they work on them every day. It’s a Velar so not an old style Land Rover. The same engine in mine is still in the brand new model. Will update once...

The car got taken to Land Rover main dealer yesterday. I’m hoping they can shed some light on what was the cause. I will definitely update on here.

He did plug in his tablet but he just started with the DPF clean. I’ve now arranged for the car to go to the Land Rover main dealer on Thursday as I need them to see what the cause was. I’m hoping the DPF guy has good insurance!

It came up on the dashboard saying exhaust filter full. I phoned the DPF guy and he suggested cleaning it through…. Little did I know it would all end so badly

Hi, to be honest I’ve had it 6 years since new and apart from brake pads and tyres I’ve been lucky. People kept saying once it was out of warranty sell it but I do feel this issue is caused by poor mechanics and poor DPF cleaning technique. Either way no one’s owning up to it :(

I’ve already paid for the DPF cleaning guy and then the new DPF and CAT. I was presuming that would be the end of it and that I would have my car back. Think it’s going to be a long and hard road to prove who’s done what wrong. I’m meeting the garage owner tomorrow to see what they say.

I have no idea but as soon as I got a mile away the smoke can up from the bonnet and the car locked up. Someone’s done something and not owning up to it. Hi, thanks so much for your reply. Are areas that you can see that have white marks around them is where the stuff he used to clear through the DPF ended up escaping from. You could hear it burst the weld and then you could hear the exhaust gasses escaping from the split welds. It also come out...
