OK - mine has come back from the garage. They say there are no mechanical faults with it and think it may be and ecu problem. Strange this is, it seems to work fine sometimes which makes me think its the turbo playing up?

Not from the look of it. Its a 1 owner 110, 2000 reg used for a landscape gardener. I will replace the hose tomorrow and fill her up. Is it worth me laking off the header tank and giving it a clean or get a new one? Thanks, Matt..

It's an ebay special I'm afraid :( We stopped straight away and let it cool down. Then I wrapped the split pipe up with some insulation tape and limped to the services (5 miles). Temp only went above normal when I slowed down. Refilled with water at the services and turned around to come home...

So I guess the answer is No - do not run a TD5 on SVO without any mods and Yes - Its fine to run it on a 50/50 mix but keep an eye (and ear) on it. Thanks all.
