Hi. I was wondering if anybody knows what the additional bracket/tab is for on the removable cross member ( See pic) . Just starting to build up my Series 3 galv chassis and want to be sure to get the cross member in correctly. TIA Cheers

So here's what i have . Looks like a standard LR S3 arrangement but i have no reference to gauge by. Splined shaft is 25.2 ( me thinks 1 inch then) To fit under " the ears" a puller would need an opening of 42mm. Judging by the state of the lock washer its been off before but to me, it doesn't...

No not yet. Im still in the process of dismantling the whole vehicle so when the weathers good Im outside working on removing everything from the old chassis. I did order a "19 mm drop arm puller" but it had an even wider opening ( 57.5mm) so i returned it. So I'm not sure which puller to...

I think the 24mm refers to the reach ( bottom of bolt to top of jaw(s))

The splined shaft is +/- 25mm dia ( so i guess 1 inch )

Hi all. Purchased a drop arm puller for my 1980 series 3, but its too big . Its the "24mm" one which i thought would fit. Not sure what the 24mm refers to? After searching further i see there are "19mm" versions available. Is that what i need ? All help / input appreciatted Cheers Phil
