I can get the bonnet up just need to replace the cable and cant remove it because of this clip

Hi all, New here, so let me know if this isnt right. My bonnet release cable snapped thought itd be a quick fix but Ive got a stupid bonnet cable guard and i cant remove the cable because of the thing (not sure what to call it) in red. Any idea on how to remove? Cant get my fingers in because...
