Hi, did you get to the bottom of this ? Mine doing the same since around a new exhaust going on. As you say smells of really rich exhaust - no smoke, not white puff start up smell 😪

Hi folks. Great forum as I tackle clutch, ird rebuild etc on my first freelander. Quick question tho - anyone recognise this rubber bung found lying on top of the ird.. Too small for the hole in the gearbox backplate, and can't see another candidate. Many thanks
