Main reason I got a FL1 was cos it's cheap as chips. Got a tidy up-together hippo with 70k miles on the clock, ES model so most of the mod cons, leather seats, tidy and clean inside, and runs well. Most other cars to this standard are still worth almost double when I was looking around.

He only cut a blade but he had all the gear to code new fobs if needed. Just saying it gave him credibility that he knew his way around car electronics - that might be something to look for when trying to find someone that can get you a new key.

Buy longer bolts and cut em down... Just remember to put a nut on first so afterwards you can wind the nut off with a socket and it will fix any thread you damaged while cutting

Been cannibalising parts off a hippo in our local car scrapyard... Got a new door locking mechanism to replace mine (works mostly, just doesn't unlock on the fob) and a few misc bits and pieces... A few other land rovers there too - recommend having a look if you need parts.
