Hi thanks for your reply. This is face lift model don't have to put fob in, new style key fobs. Have noticed that side lights don't come on when unlocking car when this problem is there.

Hi when it has this problem there is no dash lights or instruments working. It's like the switch has not registered being pressed if i keep trying it then seems to recognise button is pressed then it starts no problem

Hi I have a Freelander 2.2 td4 GS 2014, I have a wierd problem every year when it gets cold, the car opens ok with remote fob, but when I try to start engine push button start. With foot on brake (auto) there is no ignition or cranking. If I continue to hold/repress start button several times...
