Thanks everyone for your help - I got the door card off & managed to open the door by lifting the plastic off the lock actuator & using my finger to manually operate the latch, changed out the actuator & all good for now. Must have happened before as only one screw holding the door card on 👍

Hi - my 2004 FL1 TD4 drivers door electric window has sometimes been temperamental however it now will only open/close when the door is open - I suspect a dodgy wire but surely it would sometimes fail with the door open if there was something amiss wiring wise? Any ideas much appreciated please?

Hi - I need to tackle a similar issue myself, any updates you get would be appreciated however can you tell me how you removed the tailgate interior door card for access to the internals with the door stuck shut please? Mine is 2004 facelift which I think has 4 screws but they’re under the door

That’s great thanks but did you need to remove the door trim panel first - that’s my problem as door won’t open & all I read is the 4 screws that secure the tailgate door panel are under the door so can’t get to them, did you destroy the inner door panel or did you manage to work around this please?

Hi all, left the car for a couple of days then needed it to move some stuff, guess what - the tailgate door will not open. Use the handle & the window drops as normal but the door doesn’t open, there is a slight sound like it’s trying to do something. The window operates normally from the inside...

Any updates on this would be great as mine does the same - comes on randomly & goes off randomly, can’t see any fault codes, sometimes will go into limp mode when light comes on & sometimes not

Heater in my 2004 TD4 comes in the winter, never in the summer so good that way but when it does come on it stays on for around 20mins after engine off - is this a thermostat issue please?

Hi - 2004 FL1 TD4, a sort of sloshy ticking noise is sometimes apparent from RH rear wheel arch area - not always there and can stop but whether it is or not car drives fine - any ideas please as only noticed it last week & had the car over a year

Seems to have a blank kit fitted but with the vacuum pipe connected to it - should I be disconnecting the vacuum pipe & blocking it off and the place it connects to. Sorry for my ignorance new to these & want to be clear
