I have ordered a new alternator, it should be here on Monday, the one on the car is putting out 14.6 volts at idle, and 17 volts at 3000 rpm. Regulator not doing its job. only an hour or so job to change the alternator, (water cooled type)

Yes, the fault is with the SAS, it needs calibrating, after which, it can be reset by turning the steering from lock to lock.
