The good old days are over almost, I think whatever LR replace the Defender with, it won't have the same character as ours and to alot of us won't be a defender.

Egr would cause this, since tdv6 came out I have never replaced a set of glow plugs where as egr valves I have replaced loads. You need to get the codes read and see what egr is sticking and just replace it with re tearing re vehicle after

Tdv6 was a jaguar/pug engine designed and built by ford. It's name is the lion engine. Blocks are made in south amercia. Both v8 and v6 are pretty reliable considering the modern emission laws which are now half the engine. Specially with 3.0tdv6 opposed to the basic 2.7
