I’m going to install a half decent aftermarket head unit with built in satnav or CarPlay that’ll probably be alot easier than toying around with the RRS emotional imbalances! .. but I’d love to utilise the upper screen… whilst searching for answers to my questions I came across a link that...

Tbh though now, I’m not so sure all the effort is worth it.. feedback suggests that the satnav is quite ‘poor’ and the ‘settings’ is only for info purposes as you can’t adjust anything from it, and as I have an IIAD Bluetooth diagnostic tool.. perhaps I’m chasing a cause not so worthwhile..

‘Upset’ that’s an emotional term.. do RRS have feelings?… I spoke to the person (a good friend) that I purchased the RRS off and he said the BT unit was not installed or removed whilst he had it and the stereo and sat/nav worked fine.. ‍

Checked all ‘media’ fuses and reconnected the under seat amp.. still no change.. noticed that the BT unit in the load area behind panel is missing (lots of wires/plugs etc) but been advised this will not affect the satnav/settings screen…so at a bit of a loss what route to try next…‍

Ok I think I’ve worked the wiring out… but upon power up I’m left with the ‘Land Rover’ splash screen so that’s where I am.. and need to find how to progress to getting it to show settings info and Sat nav info… all help thoughts and pointers very greatly appreciated…

Anybody available to assist with this install?… I could work things out if I had some pictures if the wiring link between the Sat nav and the main stereo..

Also remember when I installed the upper satnav/settings display there were 3 sort of Ariel connectors on the display unit in top right hand corner when looking form the rear.. but there was only 1 connector lead.. which one should it go in???

Hi, right here’s (hopefully) the answers to your questions.. V5 confirms HSE. Nothing in glovebox 2 sets orange cable present one for the satnav upper screen the other for the main stereo. No DVD player evident in boot access cover drivers side. Fully electric and Heated front seats not sure...

Hi all, got myself a RRS 2.7 HSE 2006, but there’s no stereo or upper Sat nav screen! so I got myself the OEM Satnav upper screen and the original 6cd stereo and wanted to set them all up. linked everything together, stereo powers up and the Sat nav screen show the LR logo but nothing else...

It snapped/broke... a £45 part has bought my beloved car to a halt, can’t do anything until I get a replacement... I’m even considering finding an engineering firm that can cast me a replacement one using the broken one to make a mould!! I’m confused, I trawled through eBay.. couldn’t find one...

I’m waiting for half a dozen scrappy to get back to me..
