Well, . . this is the wire and yes it is to ground the filler pipe. But I have this version so I think the wire goes where the red arrow is. So the plan is to take out the filler pipe and reconnect the wire. I can't reach it when in place. Thanks a lot!!!

Yes, I was thinking the same as you are. But, . . from the broken bolt the previous owner took ground for the trailer. After the chassis swap I reconnected everything 3 times the way it was (except the black wire, I took ground from the stud for the mudflap) and now the trailer brake lights...

I did, but this point is (as far as I understand) inside the space where the taillights goes (or just behind). The wire goes up, over the hoses for fuel way up over the wheel arch, not to the rear. :-( So disappointing not being able to sort it out.

Thank you. Well, the picture you see is not mine (my wire is gone ;-)) The Disco is from 2015 and it is a Td5 manual. I replaced the rear quarter chassis and something went wrong because this wire came loose. Thank you for replying!

and it came loose on both ends. So the bolt you see broke and on the other end there is a plug that came loose :-(
