Thought I would say hello, the forum has been a incredible source of information. below is my Freelander 2006 TD4, takes a huge amount of stick, just spent the last 2 weeks chasing a Turbo issues turned out to be a faulty solenoid, fingers crossed she is back to her best. good evening all

UPDATE: For anyone with the same symptoms turnout the solenoid was not working as it should, swapped it out this evening & seems to be find. will give it a proper test with trailer tomorrow.

UPDATE: can't see any holes, but when engine is rev'ed for sure something is whistling, silicone hose(s) ordered. I live down a 2km farm track and with the rain, needed to give it a little welly to make the final turn, what was odd was that the engine light when out, as if some blockage needed...

Thank you GF21, I did check all hoses but it was in the ****ing rain, so perhaps didn't quite give it the attention I should. I'll check back in the morning.
