    Thanks guys...bought private so no warranty...theres no rumbling from diff but when pulling away....sounds like running over cats eyes is a pretty accurate description of the problem

    Thanks for the replies guys...there is no noticeable rumble from diff...but when pulling away saying it feels like you are doing over cats eyes is a pretty accurate description..I have never noticed it making noises on cornering...and most of its miles are on twisty A and B roads...

    Am wondering if it's possible to remove prop shaft so car is running front wheel drive...at least that might let me know if its suspension if it still makes the noise...if it stops I can assume its propshaft/diff...

    Yep its 4wd...I was reading in land rover monthly about a Haldex thing on freelander 2...did evoque inherit that?....or at least early ones?

    Am in the doghouse mate...got rid of a skoda superb cos I have had discos before...2 300tdis and a 3.9v8...just never had the time to sort....got a disco 2 td5...as a project...and got the spice girls evoque for the missus....ain't even looked at the disco cos the evoque giving me grief

    No..I kinda ruled out handbrake cos it happens just stopping at a give way and pulling away again...more noticeable on a hill...possibly putting more weight on it's already large bum?

    does anybody have any idea why my 2013 evoque sd4...73k miles has decided to make strange clunking noises from its rear end when pulling away.....once moving its fine...more noticeable from a hill start and worse turning right....it has just been MOTd so i assume its more drivetrain than...
