    Land Rover chassis complications

Hi Huey, Sorry to hear about your issues. The second two chassis that Shielder sent had, amongst a few other issues, the engine mounts in the wrong position. Shielder did report b@ck and confirm that a batch of chassis had the mounts wrong, due to their welding jig being wrong. When I asked if...

    Land Rover chassis complications

Hi Mick1986, thanks for your reply. I have to agree with you, but not sure if I am too far commited as a company is doing the work for me, I unfortunately supplied the chassis for them. This is the foul I currently get on the engine to power...

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I have attached some pictures below. An aspect that concerns me, is that the chassis manufacturer has now confirmed that they have sent a TD5, however the engine mounts appear to be as shown in the TDI post above. Hopefully receive another chassis next week.

    Land Rover chassis complications

Hi, Thanks for the reply and pictures. Having no looked at the pictures above, I do have engine mounts that are below the chassis level, which would indicate that I do possibly have a 300 td5 chassis. That being the case, is there any simple way xplaination as to the fuel tank foul and the fact...

    Land Rover chassis complications

Yes, it was shielded, but in their defence, they have sent a replacement chassis, but I still have fouling issues. A local dealer insists that it is a td5 chassis that shielded have sent twice. Unfortunately, I do not have my old chassis to take measurements as the workshop have scrapped it.

The chassis when we started the build, fouled with the fuel tank filler and also, when the engine was fitted, it fouled with the power steering...
