HI ZZR thanks for helping, i will try all these out over the weekend (if it stops bloody raining) I did notice that when i reconected the pump after trying the independant comp it didn't blow out of the exhaust valve, it only did this with the independant comp! Paul:confused:

Hi ZZR, yes i still have the comp but when i tried that the air just blew out of the exhaust valve on the valve block. I will try your second option over the weekend and see what happens. failing that i see no option but to recon the pump and see what happens. thanks for your help.

I only disconected the airline yesterday and am sure i have put that back ok. never had pump off before, would a worn piston rubber look or act different, would i be able to tell if it was no good. Do you know if the pumps just stop functioning as the very first sign of a problem was slow...

Wills, tried what you suggested, nothing happened, pump was still running after about 8 minutes and car didnt move. under the car the rear bags look a bit cracked but fronts are in better condition. the car is on the bump stops. do you reckon a pump rebuild is the best start. many thanks for all...

Hi, an update. I took the pipe off of the o/s/f air bag as suggested and loads of air came out. i tried to pump up the suspension as suggested from a link on one the replies by disconecting the pipe from the pump and attaching my own air supply, this did not work, all that happened was the air...

Hi, i went through all this a short while ago, thought it was a rear wheel sensor so purchased a new one from island 4x4 (not cheap) after lots of messing about had it diagnosed and found out it was the abs ecu, a new one was only 250 quid plus a bit for fitting. not saying that is your problem...

Never had airsprings replaced, have been under the car yesterday and i can see the drivers side not inflated but if there was a leak would i hear air leaking or get a message on the dash.

Hi, had to change the rad today as just replacing the viscous fan did not work, easy job but even easier if you do it while replacing the fan. I can say all is now ok, at last. The advice is as other members said the parts arn't that expensive so do it all while your hands are dirty. Paul

I had the same last year, took it to my local garage and i am not sure if he purchased a gasket but all was cured for a just a few pounds including one of the small hoses, so i am sure you dont have to buy anythig major. I can hear your sigh of relief!!

How are you going with your overheating problem, I am just going outside to fit a new radiator and t/stat. Will let you know what the result is. Paul

Have changed the viscous coupling and thought that all was well but happened again today so will put a new rad and thermostat on asap.
