I have a 300 tdi disco which is making a noise at low revs under load not unlike a blowing exhaust. I can find no leaks on the exhaust or on the intercooler pipes. the noise is only noticable at low revs, but it could be the engine noise is overcoming it as the revs rise. obiously the head...
