I squirted plenty in, around the key, but difficult to tell how far into the barrel it has gone. As far as I can remember the barrel is sealed in the latch. I will see if WD40 has worked it's magic overnight and if not I fear the only solution will be to cut the key of the fob and get the latch...

Had to recharge battery on 2000 RR P38 and when I put it back I got the KEY CODE LOCKOUT message. It would not reset using the key fob so I tried to the reset the access code using the Emergency Key Access in the manual. Failed to reset and now key is stuck in the lock. I found the spare key...
