Great ideas thankyou all.Ive been away for the weekend for some rest and meditation and the occasional dram washed down with a few ales,anyway back to reality my mate managed to get the fan off so all going well so far apart from the download I got of ebay he reckons its not the same engine ive got.

Got it thankyou. I forgot to mention the hill climb switch is broken,i looked on ebay but you have to buy the control panel aswell can I just buy the switch from somewhere ?
