    Hello

Solved where noise is coming from, borrowed 2 more axle stands and lifted landy at very ends of axle and ran it through gears. Noise was loud tapping and coming from front diff housing could also feel it pulsing. Will fit a recon diff soon as possible. Many thanks for everyone's suggestions.

    Hello

Hi, already tried everything you have suggested and nothing conclusive. Already replaced both output bearings on transfer box. Props are wide angle as originally had a 2" lift but dropped it back to standard as otherwise I couldn't park at work due to height restriction getting into car park...

    Hello

Hi, took rear prop off and noise continues. Defo points towards a diff issue

    Hello

Tried recording noise before but gets lost with wind and background noise. I'm going to take a punt at some point and replace diff

    Hello

All props are new, wide angle. Made up by a known company that build them.

    Hello

Does not do it when under load up or down hill, accelerating or decelerating only when revs match with coasting along. Sounds loud if another truck passes or driving through a tunnel!

    Hello

Thank you. Landy is 1987 Ex military 110. Retro fitted with 300tdi, LT230 1:14 transfer box and LT77 gearbox. There is a metallic tapping noise coming from underneath. Does it in all gears but only when trundling along and feathering the throttle. Sound is rhythmic and does not really speed up...

Hello to all, My first post on here, been a long time stalker for many a year collecting info and tips! Need help now regarding a tapping noise 3 independent LR garages cannot find. Will say hi first before asking about the problem as unsure of forum etiquette.
