i had noticed rust on arches and doors etc in pictures i have been looking at. is all this common on discos is there any other bad points?

i am selling my car after xmas and i am thinking of getting a 1995 ish discovery. is there anything to look out for when i am looking at them? i dont know anything about them at all. which model should i go for any suggestion would be much appreciated. thanks in advance dave
