Not yet. I phoned land rover to order new ecu . . . They've had to recall a batch due to them all being faulty, so there's a 3 month wait. I've left a message with dynachip, but he's on holiday until 2 aug.

but it runs fine with another ecu, doesn't log any faults either.

mobile mechanic just popped round again to give me the fault codes. they are, 219, 225,226,227,228,229,249,250,252,and 253.

Don't have nanocom

Snap on showed 5 injector faults, won't bump, its not fuel problem, will run on 4 if i remove inj 1 plug, will run perfect with land rover test ecu coded to vehicle.

Latest update . . . . I sent ecu to ecutesting.com, 2-3 day turnaround was actually 9 days. They sent me a text asking them to ring them on day 8. Sat there for 15mins on hold, then finally a guy answered and said there was nothing wrong with it and they were refunding the £310 minus about £55...

If anyone's interested, fella came out today from dealership with a test ecu, coded it for injectors and immobilizer and it started straight up no probs. So its a new ecu or get this one repaired i'm afraid.

And does anyone have any idea what this blue plug is for and if it can affect starting?

Thanks for the reply guys, don't want to put anyone out, and i think the crankshaft sensor would have shown up on snap on scanner. just been messing about with her in rain and darkness again, getting fed up now, might run over her with tractor and claim insurance.:mad:

There was supposed to be a guy coming out to put a test ecu on from dealership and see if that worked, however he can't make it for some reason. So i'm thinking of getting a secondhand ecu and a nanocom, programming s/h ecu and selling nanocom. It's the cheapest way i can think of doing it even...

Hello again, been busy so not done anything toward fixing this thing for awhile, but i've just spent a few minutes messing around and noticed this plug is full of oil, i didn't know it was even there till now, as it was out of sight under seat box. As previously stated ecu plugs are clean, but...

tried bumping it today, went up and down road a few times. tried with starter relay in situ and also when removed. No joy.

And in case you were going to ask, we tried it the other way as well, put no.1 plug on no.2 injector and it worked that way as well.

We've done every test under the sun without replacing anything yet. He used a scanner that he looped over each injector wire and it gives live data showing as a graph on laptop as he cranked engine. 4 injectors showed nothing at all, injector no.1 gave a reading. He unplugged inj 1 and it...

Mechanic came back an just over an hour ago, he tested pressure to fuel regulator (4.4bar) and nipped the pipe for a second while i was cranking and pump strained and pressure went over 7bar. so pump must be ok. and then he removed rocker cover and did a continuity test on wiring harness and all...

yeah thanks, appreciate everyone's suggestions, i'm trying to tick them off as we go. I've just read some old threads about the wiring harness in rocker cover going brittle, could it be this? Just weird how it drove perfectly and suddenly won't start.
