I,m going to change my clutch master and slave at the weekend, just wondered how easy it is... I,ve removed the slave before to clean it up but not sure how to remove the master cylinder.
its a 53plate 1.8 petrol btw.
any advice?
cheers
freelander 53 reg 1.8k series
my clutch pedal is pretty much on the floor when it bites
been looking through clutch threads and main problem seems to be master cylinder..
ive checked the plunger mounting bracket which is sound and the plunger operates...
what i need to know before replacing...
electric window mechanism (complete) and door switch for rear drivers side(o/s)...mines goosed, motor seized and cables all tangled up...
2003 1.8 stationwagen
How can i tell if the u-clip is fitted properly...had a quick look and it rotates when twisted but doesnt seem to lock into any specific position?
bracket seems corrosion free
cheers
I've got a 1.8 freelander (yes i know its ****e) with 45k on the clock
gear selection when the engine gets hotter becomes more difficult
when its cold there is a couple of inches travel on the clutch pedal before it bites but as it gets hotter the clutch pedal has to be right on the floor...
Had a search before i posted, all i could find was some stuff a the td engine aboult serial and parallel conections of the pipes.. I guess this doesnt apply to the 1.8
thanks
