Quick update - after playing up all week and getting more temperamental, cutting out in the worst possible places I booked the car in for a diagnostic test. The fault was found and turned out to be a loose wire on the crankshaft sensor. Fingers crossed all is now fixed

No there is no warning lights, but a couple of times the dash says reduced engine performance however it goes off when the engine kicks back into life. The box is manual drive

Hi tony, Yes the mechanic bled the system properly, the fl2 is an absolute nightmare to start after a new filter is fitted. As for checking the pipes i don't want to take them off as the system will have to be bled again and would need a mechanic to do it as it requires 2 people. I was wandering...
