Yes I can , but I'm looking at an image of the plate online and with the edging and protrusions I don't have access to the tools for this so I'd likely buy a front plate.

cheers Mark thanks for your reply, that's maybe what's going on, I suppose I,d assumed that the injectors would be in very tight, but like I said number five is slightly less tight easily going in and out by hand. There are no other symptoms of a crack. well not yet anyways..........cheers

I've been replacing injectors seals and washers. I noticed that injector in cylinder 5 did not have a tight fit like the others, its so not tight I actually wondered when fitting the new o ring if it would seal ! Why would injector 5 not have such a tight fit ? No cracks or sign of any cracks...

Cheers Mark, all good advice, Ill be speaking to the diagnostic guy tomorrow , not sure what equipment he's got but he seems to know his stuff. Appreciate all the advice. Note what you say about re-installation and I have all the tools :-)

I spoke with a guy who strips hundreds of engines, he said he had never seen them mixed, question is why would you mix them ? would that not just make life more difficult if its higher pressure ??

lol, thanks Griff and Mark, it looks like the green injector is a swap, someone who should have not been near the rocker cover and who would know this started talking some gibberish about "injector 1" when I turned up to collect the vehicle and I think they thought I had forgotten about the car...
