    Well I wasn’t bothered about been able to use the steering controls or even the on board sat nav screen, I just wanted the Apple carplay unit to work ok without damaging my car and the cheapest method possible? Thanks for your advice i really appreciate it

    Sorry I’ve tried to reply to this twice and it hasn’t posted for some reason Yes I have the screen and I wanted to fit the Kenwood DMX7017DABS with Apple carplay but have been told by Halfords that I could damage the icu unit on the car? Thanks for your reply
