Hi Stefan - Ive fitted a egr bypass kit and blanked off the vac pipe and also took the inlet manifold off and cleaned it out which hopefully should increase the air flow quite alot. When I took it for a test drive the black smoke gradually cleared so I am hoping I have cured the black smoke...

Thanks for all the replies, Ive had all the intercooler pipes off and cant see anything wrong with any of them. I did the egr bypass and cleaned out the inlet manifold ( an got covered in black gunk) took it for a test drive and the black smoke seemed to gradually clear when it warmed up...
