It's still under warranty. If the consensus is that the alternator is goosed I'd rather just send it back for a replacement than start taking it apart and voiding the warranty. If my wiring is wrong or it may not be the alternator I'd rather investigate that before send the alternator back.

RTC6283 is what I think that you are looking for. Google away, lots of choice.

It's normal for the pipe to go to the EGR modulator and for the pipe from the modulator that would have gone to the EGR valve to be blanked off. That is what I would do but to be honest I'm not sure of the pros and cons of either method.

The pipe from the T-Piece goes to the bottom of the EGR modulator valve on the bulkhead.
