Thanks. new to freelander, is it internal pump?

After the ignition has been turned on for about a minute the noise stops, but one the engine is started the noise starts again and does not stop while engine is running

Noise starts when ignition is turned on and continues all the time

Just bought a 2002 TD4. There a permanent whining noise coming fro the rear drivers side, guy said it was the fuel pump which is normal...not sure about that....anyone help?
