Freelander 1 Free lander 1 td4 thinking of buying one again.

I've had both, my main reason for not getting another fl1 is that it has the same crash safety rating as the ford fiesta ! The fl2 drives better, stops better and the heated seats are much better. At the end of the day it usually comes down to money. If you need a farm/fishing cheap 4x4 then...

    HDC fault

My l320 (2007 2.7) is throwing up a strange problem, when I pull away it starts to apply the brakes, happens more when turning out of the drive. It feels like it's in Hdc mode, if I stop then pull away again it clears, although it takes a few attempts sometimes. I then get lowered suspension...

    RR Sport drain pipe diameter

Yes, I managed to run some 6mm air pipe from the outside vent up to the top of the dash, so hopefully use that to pull the new pipe through and leave it outside the "skin" so that it doesn't leak again

Freelander 1 Any ideas to fix this....

I glued a small piece of 6mm air pipe in place, used a round flat head self tapper and then glued the securing plastic piece onto the screw, glue gun on the securing plastic bit that goes into the door frame allows it to move a little hope that helps

    Alternator replacement FL1 TD4

Not a bad job to do, just make sure you get the right alternator, 115 amp, 150 amp, 2 pin rectangular plug, 3 pin rectangular plug, or "church door" style plug, something like that. Mine is the 150 amp, first alternator had failed brushes, second had seized bearing. Mine had 2 wire arched plug...
