can anyone help me when i open tailgate window goes down as normal when i let go of handle window goes back up i have to remember to pull handle before closing to lower glass,have been told glass should stay down till closing,help please:confused:

I have a problem with my mk1 freelander, when I open tailgate the glass goes down but whilst door open the glass goes back up, have to remember to pull handle to drop glass when closing.can anyone please help.
