Hi all thanks for the pointers. The maf was replaced with a Bosch unit brand new. I ordered a new fuel pump as on occasion I have to give the old one a tap to get it going and it doesn't sound that healthy. If I wait a second or two before cranking it ,when it fires up it will Rev to 4000 plus...

hi everyone especially you the one who can pinpoint my problem. I have an 05 td4 that is constantly going into limp mode. I have done the usual new fuel filter and new m.a.f sensor but still going into limp mode at around 2500 revs . any advice is welcome ,has someone else had this problem...
