I am currently rebuilding a 8:1 head for my Series 2a petrol, unfortunately after purchasing a brand new set of NOS valve stem seals, I find that I have misplaced them (read lost or thrown out with the rubbish). Can anyone indicate which are the best alternative seals to the originals? I ask...

Can anyone explain why the clutch setting is different in the Haynes Manual for the series Petrol and Diesel engined Land Rovers (later assemblies)? The Petrol manual suggests setting by measuring the plunger length at the Slave Cylinder whereas the Diesel Manual suggests depressing the clutch...

Do the indicators or the sidelights take the outside position on the front wings of a Series 2/2a Land Rover?
