Oh God! I've got the bug!!!

Yes mate, well I'm quite the same, not keen on getting any marks on my disco, although that may eventually change. I guess sometimes the inevitable happens if your tackling harder lanes. I normally just spend a few hours driving around them. Not very interesting but a good start to learn how to...

Oh God! I've got the bug!!!

Hi Nickp3003 I actually just went out with a friend of mine but only in my landy, as we didn't have another vehicle to help us out if we got stuck it was only some simple stuff. Would be well up for meeting up for some more laning.

Oh God! I've got the bug!!!

^^^^ of course LZ is my fav lol discovery2.co.uk has very useful steps which follow the route I would like to take my disco. That's the plan, lift the disco to fit bigger tyres after underbody protection. It's my daily car and I have to keep it in such a way that I can turn up to customers...

Oh God! I've got the bug!!!

Yep I'm the same. Keep looking at diff guards steering and sump and seriously considering a 2" lift. Really want to keep the air suspension so I'll be following the guide on www.discovery2.co.uk pretty much my favorite website at the mo! I just can't seem to get enough but don't want to...

Oh God! I've got the bug!!!

So, took my Disco on its first green lane today. It wasn't much but I enjoyed it and didn't risk hurting my stock Disco. Now I'm at home tapping the sofa, with my legs twitching just wanting to go out again. I find myself constantly looking at ways to make my everyday car so much better off...

    Top rad pipe bleed screw

I have heard of people holding a blow torch to the end of a small flat head screw driver then inserting it into the remaining screw section. It melts enough off you to get a bit of grip to undo. If it was me I would buy another top hose for £36.

    Coolant and Heater Problems

Thanks for all the replies! Just took it to a friend of mine who knows a bit about discos. He said it was just a big ass air lock, he un did the bleed screw and the expansion tank cap and kept filling it up with water, after about 10 mins we started to get air into the top hose. I'm going to try...

    Coolant and Heater Problems

Thanks tsangpa, That's what i was worried about! Contemplating doing it myself but it seems like quite a big job! I guess a pressure test is probably best before sending it off to a garage for a new HG. Is there any way on testing this first to be 100% that you know of?
