Changing the UJ's was a pain in the arse hence why I gave the mechanic a drink to do it, still only took him under an hour to change both, then bolting the prop on and off was all of 10 mins work well worth doing the job.

Had a drive with the centre panel removed today and the squeak does sound like it's coming from the transmission area, I had a check of the fluid in the gearbox and transfer box and both seem fine. I fairly recently drained and replaced the rear diff but I have not checked the front for a while.

Thanks for the reply Julian, with regards to blowing back the lines to the tank is this as simple as putting an airline on the "in" pipe to the filter? Sorry if that's a dumb question just it's something I've not done before. I will check for a filter on the lift pump, not sure if it has one.

Got my new wheels and tyres fitted today, looks fantastic. But even more please with the way it drives, absolutely changed 100% better than before always felt a bit skittish on the road but now it's really well planted. Will post up a picture tomorrow when it's light!
