    Car judders, read fault codes.

Dunno, can you see both needle lift and crank position sensors on live data on your diagnostic tool? Presumably it is the injector 1 signal, but possibly the CPS. Does the rev gauge do anything 'funny' when the engine is having 'a moment'? I don't know where the cabling from the injector...

Landrover freelander 1 2005 JATCO vibration on auto output cv joint

Your problem sounds similar to this problem... https://landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/ird-fail.392652/ That turned out to be the shaft travelling back from the IRD to the LH drive shaft. @xDParis64 resolved it by swapping gearboxes. That was a manual so different to a manual, but the concepts...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Regardless of which tweeter is better, the D2 one will be hugely more expensive than the F1 one - as it has 'Land Rover' printed on it!

Freelancer 2, fault code error, engine performance loss

If you do a search (top right) for P2263 (select 'This Forum') there are various hits that may answer your problem. Sounds like turbo/boost related - eg split hose.

If it does work - make sure you don't put the bottle back in the drinks cabinet!

    Chinese Hippo's

Abominations sounds a tad disrespectful. Should we not be more up to date and target the users rather than the vehicles? Should the forum for these abominations be called "Shirt lifting progressive twunts"?

Sounds like the timing wire from No. 1 injector may have perished or come loose.

Do you garage it? Or is it just the dull UK skies that keeps the paint from being destroyed by the sun?

What have you done to your Freelander today

Took the F1 for the mutt's morning walk up the park, was great to get back in it after a week driving the F2 to work. However, took the F2 out to 'The Willows' for her afternoon walk. Not been to the Willows before, its a fairly recent development about 15 miles from home out by the Waimak...

    Fitting a Second-hand IRD - sensible precautions?

Dependent on how long you can be without the car, and the condition of the gears themselves, you could just renew the bearings & seals in your own IRD. I bought a kit containing all the bearings, seals and a new cooler for about £150 from these guys... https://onestopgearboxshop.com/ Its been...

    Freelander 1 Auto 1.8

Looks a very clever bloke. Long way to take your parts to be machined. Beautiful part of the country though. I used to love my trips up to the Thorntons chocolate factory in Belper. Always got a good stock of treats from the staff shop... and felt sick as a dog by the time I got back home to...

    Freelander 1 Auto 1.8

All very clever and impressive. I'd be happy just to have the bits on me workbench and know the engineering that went in to them. Wouldn't matter if it worked or not :D

Freelander 1 Please opinions, Ideas, fixes.....

Admittedly mine is a different engine, clutch and box being an L Series, but I have serious shaking/juddering in pulling away if I don't get the revs just right and lift the clutch at the right speed - not to fast or slow. Gear changes are a bit "on or off" touch. I'm not sure if this is just...

Freelander 1 Please opinions, Ideas, fixes.....

As you say, 1.5L of oil must be going somewhere, surely that can't be replacing air. Have you looked on the inside of the undertray to see evidence of where it might be escaping?

Calling all M47 experts for thoughts on a BMW vs LR observation

Can you not get new M47 engines though? A while back @Happyhippo bought the last new L Series - well, the last new one that Rimmers had dunno if it was the last last new one. M47s are much younger and may still be some new ones available.

Calling all M47 experts for thoughts on a BMW vs LR observation

Are they the same? Do they have the same HP pump, injectors, intercooler, hoses etc. They wouldn't have smoked when they were new. If it smokes now, it won't be the ECU, cos that is exactly the same (unless its outputting wrong voltages or ought I suppose), but what has worn/clogged up or...
