Dunno, can you see both needle lift and crank position sensors on live data on your diagnostic tool? Presumably it is the injector 1 signal, but possibly the CPS. Does the rev gauge do anything 'funny' when the engine is having 'a moment'? I don't know where the cabling from the injector...

Regardless of which tweeter is better, the D2 one will be hugely more expensive than the F1 one - as it has 'Land Rover' printed on it!

If you do a search (top right) for P2263 (select 'This Forum') there are various hits that may answer your problem. Sounds like turbo/boost related - eg split hose.

If it does work - make sure you don't put the bottle back in the drinks cabinet!

Sounds like the timing wire from No. 1 injector may have perished or come loose.

Admittedly mine is a different engine, clutch and box being an L Series, but I have serious shaking/juddering in pulling away if I don't get the revs just right and lift the clutch at the right speed - not to fast or slow. Gear changes are a bit "on or off" touch. I'm not sure if this is just...

As you say, 1.5L of oil must be going somewhere, surely that can't be replacing air. Have you looked on the inside of the undertray to see evidence of where it might be escaping?

Can you not get new M47 engines though? A while back @Happyhippo bought the last new L Series - well, the last new one that Rimmers had dunno if it was the last last new one. M47s are much younger and may still be some new ones available.

Are they the same? Do they have the same HP pump, injectors, intercooler, hoses etc. They wouldn't have smoked when they were new. If it smokes now, it won't be the ECU, cos that is exactly the same (unless its outputting wrong voltages or ought I suppose), but what has worn/clogged up or...
