Went a couple of months back. personally i didnt think it was worth it very small site and its a old sand quarry so sand gets everywhere!

New pump fitted now all working as should!

Fluid was redish didn't look to bad. There was a small fountain no where near close to hitting bonnet though. A friend has got a spare pump I'm going to stick that on see what it's like then.

Well just cracked the bleed nipple and fired it up there seemed to be a good flow coming out. Could the steering box itself be knackerd?

Yeah oil level is fine. Ill crack the bleed nipple tomorrow and check the flow.

The power steering has failed on my defender (300tdi). There's no leaks anywhere that I can see. The pump is making a bit of noise but not that noisy. I've had the belt off no play in the pump either. Any body got any suggestions on what could be wrong? Thanks In advance
