Quick update for you guys. Fitted new hose and took your advice Optimus. Cut part of the old pipe, cleaned it using industrial solvent at work, which is specifically used for removing oil contaminants, placed it with precision over the screw bricked....and it works a treat! Now do I block...

Today I'm going to give me 2004 Freelander a nice wash, followed by 3 stages of Meguiars polish and wax. I've got the clay bar neatly trimmed ready to make the paintwork gleem. I will post before and after photos, later today.
