IVA wouldn't be required but you'd need to go down the "radically altered vehicle" route which isn't really that onerous. I'm going through this process myself currently. Using the 130 chassis and original drive train would give enough points to keep the 130 reg. This is assuming no major mods...

Lack of ARBs isn't an MOT fail. I built mine without them and have HD springs and adjustable dampers. Still handles acceptably on road.

There's an air compressor unit mounted to the outside of the chassis rail under the passenger side for the air bags, if it's still there.

Some small updates: The fuel gauge started working randomly but it's very erratic and never reads more than half full. It still sometimes doesn't work at all. Had a wild camping weekend with the Shetland Land Rover Club last weekend and slept on the back of the Disco. Just threw a big tarp...

You can get a fair amount of flex on a Disco with ARBs still in place. This has standard wheels and tyres and a 2" lift so nothing extreme. Both back wheels still on the ground.

And stop calling it a Jeep.

Removing the prop shouldn't stop it driving in front wheel drive. If it drives with the prop connected then the centre diff is taking up all the drive and you have a problem with your gearbox. You'd probably get better help posting in the correct forum though...
