Does anyone have a spare working HEVAC going cheap ? Don't mind if it has pixely display, because I have a spare Zebra strip to sort that.

Maybe the accumulator wasn't as "new" as you thought ?

Update on this. Replaced the connector on the heater core sensor, so now that reads correctly (90% of the time, but occaisionally jumps to -20degC !). Re-visited the HEVAC control, and confirmed no voltage out of the L272M driver chip. Replaced it with a new one, but still no output. It...

Just a Nanocom, spare compressor & small adjustable spanner (for fitting it), plus some oil & water in mine these days. Years ago I always had a toobox in the car, but these days if required will get it recovered home instead.

Nanocom doesn't appear to show the MAF. It does MAP(boost) & Ambient pressure, plus various other stuff, but for MAF you would need to measure the voltage separately.

Surely they both have hairdressers in common ?

I've got a small SIP Migmate 130, but not used it in nearly 20 years !! Problem with it, was the wire feed motor would change speed as the arc started & get stuck. Did a mod using a separate transformer for the feed motor, which worked a lot better. Maybe I should dig it out & try...

Doubt it’s that thick. Make it bigger & use a vernier ?? TBH I agree with clean ing rust & use fibreglass & filler.

When I did my P38 propshafts, the bearing caps were slightly below the circlips. I centred the UJ as best I could, and then filled with grease which expanded the caps firmly against the circlips. Does sound like dropped roller, unless the UJ's are simply badly made ?

Probably the gasket, or whatever sealant has been used in the past. Looks a bit like where the front cover sealant is supposed to go ?? Put the EAS on maximum height, and place blocks under the bump stops to prevent it dropping. Then just follow RAVE.
