What have you done to your Freelander today

I can't complain. It served it's purpose and I only paid £200 for it and the scrappy said they'd give me that for it so with one abs sensor, some wiper blades and two second hand tyres it's been cheap motoring for the year. It was a great little car and drove really nicely. I'd have one again in...

Freelander 1 Sill Structure - For rustproofing

Noted! Great pics. I'm just wondering if it's worth Lanogaurding the externals and getting something a bit thicker to inject into the sills?

Yep, just from the flexi union, around the chasis box section.

    Crows...bear with me

We had a spate of this at my work car park a couple of years ago. Fortunately I was unscathed but loads of people had damage and one guy spent well over £100 on wipers. He took to putting carrier bags over the blades every day. I'm told one of the hunting lads came and dispatched the offenders.

What have you done to your Freelander today

It would be difficult to get a good one from a scrapper, with all the arms etc as it seems these motor's subframes are quite susceptible to the rot. Also, the gearbox has a fair old whine on it so not sure how long that has got. However, if I had a garage I'd consider doing it. It's time to give...

What have you done to your Freelander today

My old banger £200 daily driver runaround bmw failed the mot today with a knackered subframe. I had a good look at it and the whole rear suspension looks like it's been parked in the sea for some years, so sadly off to the scrappy it goes. It means the pride and joy FL1 is now promoted to daily...

    ignore thread please

Change of tack this morning. Instead of ignoring this thread I've decided to ignore some suspension knocks, saggy headlining and a floppy drivers side mirror

Thanks chaps. I remember it being ATFu now. I'll have to revert to noises and play being down to age and mileage then.

What have you done to your Freelander today

You've got me worried now. I'm sure the stuff I put in last time when I was doing a bit of a change was red

What have you done to your Freelander today

Investigated knocks and rattles from the front suspension today. Whipped off the drop links and went for a quick spin. The links were pretty tired and most of the noises were eliminated, except the worst knock. New HD links on order and the search for the culprit continues. Prime suspect = OSF...

Did the school run it it today. It failed to start after the pickup. A wiggle of the starter wiring and she was away!

    ignore thread please

I'd just like to point out that I'm not posting about this thread and I am ignoring it, but that thread just doesn't cut the mustard. I think I'll definitely stay clear of it.

What have you done to your Freelander today

I would imagine it would need to be closer. I replaced one on my BMW this time last year because it had rubbed on the reluctor ring. I put a spacer under the new one which was less than 1mm thick and it didn't work. I took the spacer out and it's been fine since

    ignore thread please

Hi learned forum members. I wonder if you could help me with some advice. Sorry if this has been asked before but I've recently been reading this forum thread that says "please ignore". Now the problem is I've not ignored it and have only gone and posted, twice. Things I've tried to resolve the...
