Did you get much warning with the 'over fill' do the injector seals etc go gradual or sudden? I am getting the impression from various Google sources that the 15p engine cylinder heads aren't as prone to the cracking but there are numerous stories of injector seal failure. I am wondering...

I'd agree with the above - a small van will be fine. How often is he likely to be stuck getting to work - not often I'll wager. And the other suggestion about putting him on as a named driver (when he is really the main driver) is called fronting and is illegal.
