Fair. I just know I was well against autos, but then got my auto 300, now wouldn't go back to manual in anything bar a sports car!

If you're a manual man, try an auto sometime. I was changed.

I loved my 300tdi. Thought I'd fix whatever went wrong, but then I found it needed a new engine, full exhaust and had the boot rot, I had to part with it. I got a TD5 to cheer myself up. I never looked back. Every passenger who gets in is shocked by the upgrade, and driving it, damn it's...

I paid 2600 for the 300tdi in my avatar, 2 years ago. It was tidy as anything, one owner, beautiful. I still felt I had paid too much. Tbh for that price you'll get an old TD5, and they are worlds better to drive.

Do it, definitely! I got run over last year, hit my left knee, ####ed it. I drove myself to hospital, and around to and from work etc whilst on crutches. No problem. Thank fook for autos!!

Cheers guys. I hadn't had chance to do anything at all, was sitting in an office and after reading a few similar threads was panicking about head gasket so thought I'd ask. Anyway I got home, checked coolant, it took 2 litres! All fine now! :)

My TD5 ES has got an odd issue with the heater at the moment. For some reason it only seems to be blowing hot air when I'm actually moving. If I get into traffic the air goes cold, and heats again as soon as I'm moving off again. Sometimes I turn off the panel and back on again and it works...

Which are you talking about specifically? Quite a few have seasonal restrictions, and we're well out of season..
