Update. Still no change. After disconnecting the battery for almost two hours on christmas eve the car won't start but will lock unlock fine with the fob. I had a guy round with a fault code reader (unfortunately wasn't there at the time so talking to him over the phone) he said it wouldn't...

A year ago an auto spark place quoted me 45 quid to repair my alternator by adding new bushes. When he took it off it needed a brand new alternator which cost 200 fitted. He couldn't rebuild it cause the bearings had completely self destructed! Hope this helps

well just re-connected the battery and unfortunately no luck. will need to re-sync the fob. had to climb in from the back seat cause it just wouldn't let me in the drivers door. battery is on charge and i'll have to wait to see what happens when the guy gets here with the black box... if...

yeah, working off fob fine. and locking and unlocking from the key in the door. battery is well charged, had it on for a couple of hours earlier also. i'm not sure about the eka code being right. gave him my vin number and he gave me the code. it won't give me any beeps when i do 4 turns to...

ok. got the door card off and had a look in. nothing seems broken or disconnected. half way through, the message centre said "interior lights off" (?) after having a poke about and opening handles, locking unlocking etc, the door now locks as it should, and the tailgate locks. alarm arms...

i got the code from a dealer on the isle of man. i've been out to have a go, but discovered that the drivers door won't lock at all, using the fob or the key. also the tailgate button still works to open the tailgate when the car is locked. the car locks and the alarm arms, the other doors...

anyone tried getting an eka code from these guys - they can apparently send you the code by e-mail, although they charge £17.50 for it. RANGE ROVER EKA (KAC) Code - 01379 669 375 anyone know where to get it or if any landrover stealers are open today??

dammit. my parents have a wireless doorbell. i'm parked about 3 feet from the front door. been parked here loads, but never overnight before, and normally about 25yards away in the turning circle of the street. i've unplugged the doorbell, and have the battery on charge, so fingers crossed...
