Depends how extreme your going with it. Alot of the twist off lads seem to run the set up your talking about. If I was going big it would be that way,as said it seems to line up better on return.

Not brackets,in the pic the two rubber bits in the middle are what they mount to with 2 pins.

Before mine got ripped off they were mounted with a glued on rubber strip on the side and a rivnut in the back. Depending on how you use your landy, I wouldn't bother fitting them as when they come off they make a mess of where the rivnut used to be:)

Its a right cnut of a job. When I did mine I beat the hell out of it with everything I had. In the end I gave it to someone with a press thinking it would **** it. Theres no correct answer for this. Does depend on use and what money you've got to burn. As for wheel spacer,from a trialing point of view is a big no no.

Nice project that. I would keep the coulour sceme the same though as its different to all the nato green ones about.

I used one on mine,but the exhaust rattles on the wing at low revs. I don't have a rear hanger for it as its strong enough on its own,but might have to fit one to try and stop it vibrating. It was a bit of a rush job so should be fine with a bit of thought to it:)

It won't have any issues come mot time. As the engines are good enough to pass the tests with out cats or silencers. As long as it doesn't smoke too much your fine.

Im the same as WLM,straight through no boxes. Its not that much louder. No problem come mot time either.

Rtv's are great fun. I run a 300 disco,its lightly modified, rtv's really makes you think about what you realy need to change to make a good offroader without going mad. I've been beaten by some standard landys on road tyres.

There was a thread on here if you search. He cut strips into the rear door and folded it over to fill the gap and then filled it. Looked a tidy job. Alot of people don't bother and just cut the doors without any bother from the gap at all.
