    TD4 Prop Shaft mount

Thanks Mad Hat Man! And very true. I have to get it recovered if definitely didn't sound safe to drive. Annoying though it's at the garage and I'm probably going to have to fork out the £635 to get it fixed so I can get it home.

    TD4 Prop Shaft mount

Thanks. The tyres all look are all uniform. I asked them if they were replacing the whole prop shaft and was told the prop shaft mount. Annoying I'm dealing with their reception over the phone rather and the mechanic.

Hi Nodge! The garage is telling me the 'prop shaft mount'. The symptoms are loud knocking from the front of the car especially when turning. Thoughts? Cheers

    TD4 Prop Shaft mount

Hi all. I've just spoken with my local Land Rover garage who've quoted £635 to get have prop shaft mount repaired. Any thoughts? I wasn't expecting such a figure but maybe that's what these things cost? Thanks in advance! Cheers

The clunking has gone but I am thinking there might be another underlying problem - maybe the VCU as you said - the reason being the mechanic...

    Freelander 1 2002 TD4 automatic Clunking

I'm getting a loud clunk from under the car, sounds like it's coming from the back half of the car. It happens when I put the foot down on the accelerator and sometimes when putting the car into reverse. Any idea what would be causing this? And what likely needs fixed. Cheers!
