This might sound stupid, but have you turned the key? ;) I also have a 2001 petrol, and the scanner was not able to find any codes, I take it it reads generic codes, but not LR specific ones?

I was REALLY hoping that I could get them on without removing the front bumper, due to just about every bolt is rusted and seized.. ;) Edit, how is the access underneath the car? Would it be possible to gain access that way?

Anyone with a car with the 1.8 fogs fitted, who can take some measurements for me? Need to know where to cut the bumper, don't want to make a fool out of myself... ;)

Hello. Bought a set of foglights for my Freelander 1, turned out that the fogs was for a V6 Freelander, which have a slightly bigger front bumper. They are now for sale, offers? See this thread for details and pictures.

Ganz richtig, as the Germans says. Cheap product from a Swedish/Norwegian chain of stores, £6 a bottle. :) It's simply called "bumper shine", it looks a lot like liquid shoe shine to me. :) It did work though.

Mine did the same, and I was unable to find a new seal, if you do find one, please post a link. :) Ended up tightining them in sequence ever so slightly, and my leak stopped.
