hmmmm..i think im having similar problems..... i had my vcu and the bearings which carry the props renewed and also at the same time, had the ird box removed and all the bearings replaced.... the car since then seems to make a noise like i can hear the prop turning....??? it was ok at first ...

air, fuel and crank case filters/breathers where renewed on service around 3k ago... ill get the things looked at.. the problem doesnt put itself across as being a power loss as such... more it feels like im having to "drive" it harder as it feels like im trying to push something down the road...

ive done it........ cost a tenner off ebay, took 20 mins to do, worked an absolute treat mate.. best tenner ive ever spent. the kit replaces the plunger and the contacts...when you strip the starter down, youl see that the contacts are just worn out..... dead easy to do, go for it. matty

hi guys.... i got an 05 plate td4...... never towed, only done 4k in a year ,roughly half on road, half off road...farms tracks and fields etc.... just over six months ago, i had the transfer box completly overhauled and a brandnew vcu put on it... the work was totally unneccesarry as i sooned...

anyone ? removal of a starter motor on a td4 ? im gonna attempt this tomorrow.... im goin in blind here guys !!hahaha
