    Overdrive rebuild????

Me fairey is a tad noisey so I was contemplating perhaps rebuilding it when the weather gets a bit warmer. Just wondered if it was financially viable to do so, what parts I would need, how hard it is to do it and roughly how much the whole thing will cost me. ta, Paul

Fuel Economy TD5 - Average MPG?

Thats exactly it Charles, good fuel economy isnt just achieved by engine tinkering. Something you learn when driving HGV's is to look well ahead to anticipate whats going to happen on the road ahead, avoid hard braking, hard acceleration and keep speed to a sensible average. Also, tyre...

Fuel Economy TD5 - Average MPG?

Well I have just calculated after the recent fill up that doing short distances around A & B roads, my TD5 has returned 29.8 mpg. That leads me to believe that on a run with cruise engaged, I should be well up in the mid to late 30's (I hope)

Fuel Economy TD5 - Average MPG?

I live in norfook where there arent any decent roads to allow you to maintane a constant, economical speed over long distance. I blanked the egr off some months ago and even though most of my driving has been done recently with lights, heater etc on full belt, I have covered 442 miles and still...

    washer Jet/s

Must be a retro fit I reckon cause the existing jets are not much cop, you have to drive into the wind hoping the spray hits either/both screens. Looks like I'll have to get another single and fit one either side. thanks fellas

    washer Jet/s

Just ordered & received a washer jet for me 72 series from Craddocks. The one they sent has only 1 jet. Is it me being fick or should there be two seperate jets on me bonnet, cause at the moment I have a twin jet in the middle of my bonnet and it seems a bit daft fitting one thats only going...

I understand Mr Slob's sentiments relating to the safety aspect of having operational wipers and washers (and compliment him on stating his point in such a direct manner), however, for the purpose of getting a ticket on said landy, indeed it is correct to assume that if the windscreen(s) are not...
